Expeditors Consolidated their Costa Rica warehouse and office into a regional headquarters with 10,000 SM of warehouse and 2,500 SM of office. Their pallet position capacity increased by nearly 100% when compared to the old warehouse facility that they leased. The state-of-the-art facilities at LatAm Logistic Properties Parque Logistico Coyol is enabling them to win new business at a fast rate and they are evaluating expansion possibilities with LatAm Logistic Properties in Costa Rica as well as Colombia & Peru.
PriceSmart needed to re-configure its supply chain to a regional distribution model with FTZ capability in a facility that would allow a mix of high density storage with areas to conduct value-added processing. They also needed a container yard to accommodate large volumes of imports from Asia. LP was able to design a facility that accommodated all the customer’s needs coupled with an ideal location for regional distribution and local distribution, including e-commerce. LLP is also working closely with the PriceSmart team in their market expansion efforts in Colombia and Perú.
Mabe closed their manufacturing operations in Costa Rica and needed to sell their old campus in order to optimize their supply chain. LatAm Logistic Properties simultaneously purchased their site and signed a lease for 8,500 SM at LatAm Logistic Properties Parque Logistico Coyol. LLP was able to create value for its shareholders through subdividing and selling Mabe’s campus for a substantial mark-up while securing a lease at LatAm Logistic Properties Parque Logistico Coyol with a Target Customer with operations throughout the region.
Kraft Heinz needed improve its inventory turnover and rationalize costs by separating distribution activities from manufacturing. They sent an RFP for a 5,000 SM facility given their need to store 5,000 pallet positions, calculated using the market standard of 1 pallet position per SM. LLP provided a space optimization layout that allowed them to store 5,000 p.p in 2,500 SM at LatAm Logistic Properties Parque Logistico Coyol This reduction in size, generated important savings for Kraft Heinz along with other characteristics, such as location, ample truck courts, security, etc.
